AUDITION FOR US

WHAT TO EXPECT

Are you excited for auditions? We definitely are! To help you through the process, we've created this page to give you all the information you need for our Spring 2024 Auditions.

First, we'll begin with some simple vocal exercises to warm up your voice. Then, we'll ask you to sing the shoe part of our arrangement of Vienna by Billy Joel (the "shoe part" refers to the background music the group sings behind a soloist). You must prepare the Soprano 1 Higher split part. Don’t worry too much; you only have to learn measures 86 through the end of the song! The PDF of the sheet music can be downloaded from the icon below. We have also included files where you can listen to the sheet music being played.

After that, there will be some note matching exercises. The final part of your audition will be a solo of your choice from our repertoire. The list of options can be found below. We recommend singing a song that showcases your voice and your love for singing!

If you have any questions about auditions or any other part of the rush process, please feel free to contact one of our Rush Managers.
